Reggie Miller has plenty to say about the current state of the Warriors

Reggie Miller, like many others in the industry, is enamored with what the Warriors have become.

When Reggie Miller saw how fans reacted to the Warriors when they made their way to China, he was reminded of something. It was hard for him not to flash back to the popularity of Michael Jordan's 1990s Bulls.

"They arrived [in China] at 3, 4 o'clock in the morning and there was one, two thousand people waiting for them at the airport and at their hotel," Miller said during TNT's start-of-season conference call Wednesday. "It reminds me a lot of like when Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls used to travel. It was like the Beatles were coming, and the Warriors have that effect."

The Warriors have begun to build a global brand as Stephen Curry has become one of the most popular players in the world, and then there was the summer of China Klay, which only heightened that interest.

But it's how the team has come together — both as players and simply in roster moves — that has made Golden State so special, according to Miller.

"The Warriors — it's almost like a perfect storm," he said. "You have everything encompassed in your players, as well as your coaching staff, you've won two out of three championships, you've got two of the top 10 players in Steph and KD (Kevin Durant) and you've probably got four of the top 20 players including Draymond (Green) and Klay (Thompson), it's the perfect storm."

The perfect storm has Curry, Thompson and Green locked up with long-term deals. It has Durant taking less money to keep the team together, which allowed the Warriors to re-sign important pieces such as Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Javale McGee. It even enabled them to add a player of Nick Young's caliber.

There's reason to be enamored with this team, and Miller is just one of many impressed by the Warriors.

"They are all young … and they play the right way," he said. "There's no ball-hog, there's no sticking, it's a beautiful game to watch; there's back cuts, there's proper screening, there's fast breaks, there's 3s, and they play great defense. Great defense. I feel like I'm gushing over them. I wish there was another team that was like that."
