Dak Prescott ready to throw after Landon Collins' slight: 'Challenge accepted'

After scoring just eight points in their season opener, the Cowboys are ready for whatever challenge the Giants' defense brings Sunday.

Dak Prescott has one thing to say to the Giants' plan on stopping Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott on Sunday.

"Challenge accepted," Prescott said, via ESPN. "Challenge accepted."

New York safety Landon Collins shared the team's defensive strategy Wednesday when he said the team's focus will be on stopping the run game.

"We're making sure we close the air out of their offensive running game," Collins said. "If we do that, put the ball in Dak's hands, I think we'll have a better shot at winning."

The Cowboys will attempt to use all their weapons during the Sunday Night Football matchup after falling 16-8 against the Panthers in Week 1.

"I didn't play well, and the only way I know how to play better is to go to work and put in the time, put in the time the right way with the right focus, and that has been my plan," Prescott added.

Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan added the Cowboys' third-year quarterback seemed even more motivated than he has been in the past after a lackluster performance Sunday.

"He is certainly focusing on getting better and all that stuff," Linehan said. "He is handling it like a professional, a competitor. He is not moping around. You can tell he is determined. He wants to be back on that field as soon as soon as he can. Just what you would expect."
