Panthers’ Luke Kuechly had offseason shoulder surgery, report says

Kuechly missed one game last season while in the NFL's concussion protocol but still finished the season with 125 combined tackles.

Panthers fans let out a collective wince when linebacker Luke Kuechly sat out the Pro Bowl with an “unspecified injury.”

Now we know the Carolina mainstay recently underwent surgery on his right shoulder, The Charlotte Observer reported, citing unidentified sources. He had surgery on his left shoulder after the 2015 season to repair a partially torn labrum.

Kuechly, 26, missed one game last season while in the NFL's concussion protocol but still finished the season with 125 combined tackles — his sixth consecutive season with at least 100.
